Jesse Bacon assumed the role of Superintendent of Bullitt County Public Schools on July 1, 2018. He previously served four years as a principal of Simons Middle School in Fleming County. Before that, Mr. Bacon served as a high school teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. Additionally, he spent two years as the Director of Safe Schools, Personnel, and Federal Programs for the Fleming County School District.
Mr. Bacon is a graduate of Morehead State University, with a B.A. in Social Science, and an M.A. in K-12 Administration. He earned his Superintendent Certification and Rank 1 from the University of Kentucky where he is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
Jesse has participated in numerous leadership programs, including the Leadership Institute for School Principals through the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), the National Institute for School Leaders (NISL) Executive Development Program, as well as the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Aspiring Superintendents Academy. He is also an active participant on Advanc-ED school and district accrediation teams.
