OVEC / UofL Partnership
The University of Louisville and the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative formed a partnership in 1991 to offer improved professional development offerings. Over the years the vision of the Partnership has evolved to meet the changing needs of both OVEC districts and the University.
OVEC is working closely with the University of Louisville in several initiatives. These efforts include:
- Supporting a cadres of teachers from the OVEC region seeking National Board Certification.
- Collaborative efforts to offer an Alternative Certification Program series for emergency teachers.
- Support for districts and schools in understanding and using the Scholastic Audit Process to strengthen curriculum and student learning.
In addition, OVEC is offering support for programs in the region: The Continuing Education Option and the Future Teachers of America organization.
