Kelley F. Ransdell assumed the role of Superintendent of Anchorage Independent School District on July 1, 2013 and shared that she loves being a part of such a vibrant, supportive and committed school community. Previously she served four years as Director of Middle Schools for Fayette County Public Schools and before that seven years as the Superintendent of Fleming County Schools. Kelley has served as finance officer, chief information officer, district technology coordinator, federal programs coordinator, SBDM coordinator and high school mathematics instructor for Fleming County Schools and additionally taught summer and evening mathematics courses for Maysville Community & Technical College earlier in her career. Kelley is a graduate of Morehead State University, with a B.S. in Mathematics, minor in Business Administration, Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and Rank I in K-12 Administration. She earned an Ed.D. in Education Leadership from Northern Kentucky University.
Kelley served as president of the Kentucky High School Athletics Association Board of Control (2010-2011) and as the first female president of Kentucky Association of School Superintendents in 2009. She additionally served as the first female chairperson of Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) Board of Directors in 2007 and as a member of Kentucky Association of School Administrators Board of Directors.
